WeChat Backup

WeChat Backup is a private desktop backup utility operated by QD Advisory for its owner. It uses Google Drive only to store and restore encrypted backup repository files created by the application.

Google Drive access

The application requests the drive.file permission. It can create and manage files that it creates or that the user explicitly opens with it. It does not request access to all existing Google Drive files.

Security

Backup contents are encrypted before upload. OAuth credentials and repository passwords are not published on this website and are not stored inside the backup repository.
